To make these systems truly useful and aligned, we must master the art of

Feedback loops sparking oscillations, delays, populations growing, resource flows reversing and nonlinear interactions were visualized as dynamic flows, showing how small changes could ripple through a system over time. It revealed a profound truth:

That spark stayed with me. Years later, working on AI systems, I began to see the connection. Designing multi-agent environments, modeling interactions, and shaping emergent behaviors — it all echoed those early ideas. But now, instead of simulating population growth or supply chains, we’re simulating intelligence itself. Agents that communicate, adapt, and evolve — not in code alone, but within simulated ecosystems that serve as their reality.

As we move toward systems that reason over time, collaborate with others, and adapt through interaction, simulations emerge as a powerful complement to existing evaluation methods.
